Raising The Betting Limit To $100 Will Be Heard

Colorado Ballot 121 and 122 are going to title board hearing 8:30 AM next Friday 5/9/2008.  This is the first step to get these initiatives on the ballot so voters can have a say in raising the betting limit in Colorado from $5 to $100.  This citizen initiative, after statewide approval, would allow the Cities of Central City, Blackhawk and Cripple Creek, through local elections to extend:

• Hours of gaming operation
• Approved games to include roulette or craps, or both; and
• Single bets up to $100

The only difference  I can see between these initiatives are the dates in lines 32 and 35 on the last page.

  2. This still has a ways to go before it will be on the ballot, look for it in Novemeber 2008.

  3. I would like to sign the petition to get this issue on the ballot, how can I do that? Thank you.

  4. I am all for raising the limits also, I live an hour away from Cripple Creak and with the gas prices the way they are, it’s realy not worth the drive up the mountian to play $5 limit, when I can stay at home and play online for $5.

  5. I own land in Cripple Creek and support this effort. Please let me know how I can help out.
